    KU Phillip Park Children's Centre is located at the crossroads of Sydney CBD and the Eastern Suburbs and is easily accessible by public transport.

    Operating Monday to Friday from 7 : 30 am to 6 : 00 pm, the service provides long day care services for children aged from 6 week to 6 years old, alongside a full preschool program preparing children aged 3 to 5 years for the transition to school.

    The centre encourages family and parent involvement and values the support that families provide to the centre. The children at Phillip Park explore and learn at their own pace, discover new materials, experiences and friendships, all the while encouraging their social and emotional development.

    You would be working with a group of highly experienced and passionate Early Childhood Educators, in a cohesive and professional environment.

    The role

    We are looking for an experienced, critical thinking Early Childhood Teacher who values partnering with families, is strong in curriculum development and pedagogy and wants to join a passionate, capable and dedicated team to work Thursday & Friday, 8 hours per day until June 2019.

    The impact you’ll have

  • work as a member of a co-operative team in order to provide an appropriate educational program for the children within her / his care.
  • ensure that up to date records are maintained for each child under that persons care.
  • ensure that the policies of KU and the funding authorities are implemented in providing appropriate care and educational programs for children.
  • What we’re looking for?

    We want you to be as passionate about early childhood education and as committed to achieving positive outcomes as we are.

    In addition you will have :

  • A current NSW Working with Children Check.
  • Work rights to enable you to work in Australia
  • A recognised Early Childhood Teaching degree level of qualification in Early Childhood or similar as approved by Australian Children’s Education and Quality Authority (ACECQA)
  • Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011) and how they apply in your state
  • Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)
  • Professional level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Completed training in Child Protection legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children
  • A current Senior First Aid certificate as approved by ACECQA
  • Current approved Asthma Management training
  • Current approved Anaphylaxis Management training
  • Demonstrated computer literacy skills
