  • Are you an innovative and talented developer?
  • Are you interested in working in a fast-paced, agile team that is building a trans-Tasman product?
  • Do you want to help redefine the HR / Payroll industry’s expectations of what makes great software?
  • Come and join us at Fusion5. Fusion5 offers a full range of digital innovation solutions, applications, consulting services, development, cloud and managed services as well as first class support services for businesses.

Our expertise covers all the key functional areas, including HR / Payroll, Enterprise Resource Planning, Customer Experience, Customer Relationship Management, IT Service Management, and Infrastructure.

    What you'll do :

We’re well underway building a product called Jemini which we hope will revolutionise web-based HR / Payroll software. We need another developer with the right skills and personality to fit in with our Jemini development team.

You’ll work closely with our Business Analysts, Designers, Managers, Front End Engineers and other Java Developers. Our agile development environment is implementing a versatile solution to some tricky web development problems.

Based in our Adelaide office, you will join our Jemini Development Team, while also working closely alongside our New Zealand team.

As a member of the team, you will be involved in developing, testing, launching and iterating our new Jemini product. As we work in an agile environment, you’ll need to manage your own time, and work well both independently and as part of the team.

You will need to be technical at heart, comfortable with the idea of extending systems by writing code, rather than just relying on in-built functionality.

    Who we’re looking for :

    Key skills :

  • At least three years’ postgraduate experience developing Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) applications.
  • Experience maintaining development and deployment environments at both the client and server level.
  • Solid HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript (using jQuery or similar frameworks) skills.
  • The type of person that publishes good documentation to help people use the information and features you build.
  • Excellent communication skills - really important when working across remote teams.
  • Comfortable explaining the code you build to your fellow team mates whether they be developers, designers or analysts.
  • Comfortable working within an agile development methodology and have experience working to agile delivery timeframes.
  • Desirable skills :

  • Experience using Atlassian’s Jira and Confluence
  • Experience using version control systems like Git and Subversion
  • You have experience in database design and administration (MS SQL Server DBA)
  • Experience with mobile development, including adaptive and responsive techniques
  • Experience with a CSS pre-processor (LESS or SASS)
  • Experience building new products
  • We need somebody who can hit the ground running within our Adelaide team.
