Who will the specialist work with?
You will join a team of policy, content and engagement specialists focused on implementing the government's response to the ICT Procurement Taskforce report.
What will the specialist do?
The Data Analyst will turn data into information, information into insight and insight to inform decisions in response to the ICT Procurement Taskforce report.
They will be committed to implementing lasting cultural change and driving agency support for the Government's commitment to reforming ICT procurement practices.

As the Data Analyst, you will be required to :
Work at pace as part of a dynamic, fast paced environment supporting the implementation of key government deliverables
Contribute to the development of a complete dataset to report government's ICT procurement spending
Establish a framework to facilitate the sharing of information and data across government to advise procurement performance
Work cooperatively with other areas of the DTA, agencies across government and industry to develop a comprehensive data of ICT spend
Build networks to share capability across government Promote a positive creative culture and help to build a strong reputation for the ICT Procurement Division and DTA
Understand ICT procurement policy and use your understanding to align data and policy to support outcomes
Essential skills and experience
Experience and good working knowledge in the research and analysis of datasets
Experience in leading engagement across industry and government stakeholders to deliver government priorities
Well-developed skills and experience in delivery of evidence based policy for government
Able to manage own time effectively to meet deadlines in the delivery of outcomes
Strong communication skills both oral and written
Friendly, confident and professional in dealing with senior management, colleagues and external stakeholders
Nice-to-have skills and experience
ICT and / or procurement background / understanding desirable.
Ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative.
