Our Site Engineers are influential in delivering our vision into reality through planning and optional use of technology.

As world leaders in all aspects of Technology, from Research & Development, Design, Delivery and Management we are in an enviable position to generate value for our customers.

We are seeking interest from experienced Site Engineers. Reporting to the line manager this role would be responsible for performing physical and mechanical activities, telecommunication infrastructure audits, installation of hardware / software systems and upgrades.

You would maintain and repair radio access nodes, core network transmission equipment on operational telecommunications networks.

A key component of this role is to interact with other technicians, customer technical staff and other groups within the Ericsson organisation.

With an already established reputation of excellence in the Telecommunications industry, we will provide you with a foundation upon to utilise and grow your existing skill set.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced field services technician to help develop and grow something exciting with Ericsson.

To be considered candidates must have a combination of most of the following experiences, qualifications and achievements :

  • Demonstrated understanding of transmission concepts.
  • Installation and commissioning experience in high capacity transmission equipment
  • Understand and implement RAN, RF, and Transmission designs.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical construction and site installation drawings.
  • Decision making and problem solving skills.
  • Flexibility in working hours
  • Willingness to travel away for 1 to 3 weeks at a time
  • Desirable to have both RAN and Core / TX installation and commissioning experience
  • Solid understanding of Telstra installation standards
  • One or more of the following is desirable :

  • Diploma in Telecommunications Engineering or similar
  • Data centre or exchange installation experience
  • 2 or more years relevant industry experience
  • An Ability to work at heights
  • 2 or more years experience in a network rollout discipline
  • Fibre splicing certification
  • NBN fixed wireless installation standards
  • A demonstrated understanding of multiple client network topologies and associated Radio access network (RAN) and Optical / Microwave Transmission infrastructure
