Immediate start for strong Senior Financial Accountant with audit and heavy industry background to support growing business in standalone finance role

About the Company

Our client is a global leader in aviation and supply chain management, with head office based in the UK. They are currently looking to expand their Australian operations and find a foothold in the excellent growth culture in NSW.

About the role

The role will be overseeing the ANZ Financial operations for around 9 months and acting as the integral Finance POC and 2IC to the Oceania Regional Manager.

This role is fundamental to the expansion of the business in its next phase, as it will be educating the Regional Manager and the rest of the business on growth strategies, risk and ops, business cases, financial decisions and more.

Key responsibilities will include :

  • Preparation of statutory accounts for the ANZ entities
  • Oversee audit prep, visits and closure
  • Create monthly accounts for forecasting and reporting
  • Identification of KPIs and market trends
  • Preparation of management reporting packs
  • Create new processes and systems to drive automation and reduce human error
  • Produce, review and submit all taxation matters
  • Up to date cash flow forecasting and creation of annual budget
  • Support, lead and inform the team on site and Regional Manager of all important financial decisions and educate them on any queries received
  • Set KPIs and business objectives in line with operational strategies
  • About you

    The ideal candidate for this role will have 8-15 years post-qualified experience. Preferably coming from a chartered or audit background due to the nature of the role.

    You will have worked in a small or medium sized business before and held autonomous finance roles that required strong time management and organisation skills.

    Additionally you will have :

  • CA or CPA qualified from Aus, UK, Ireland or South Africa
  • Ability to commit immediately to a 9 month contracts
  • Strong interpersonal skills including written and verbal
  • Drive for improvement and to assist a budding company flourish
  • Strong excel skills with ability to create reports and models from scratch
  • Experience creating new processes and controls procedures
  • Strong analysis, and budgeting and forecasting experience
