Our VoIP Engineers manage the global infrastructure of the carsales VoIP network. You will be tasked with driving initiatives that will promote our platform to world-class levels.
This role sits within our Global Platform Service (GPS) team and delivers our PAAS solution as well as supports our businesses around the globe.
You will be involved in a wide spectrum of projects encompassing different platforms, tools, and languages. Technical skills required include telephony, SIP, networking, AWS, scripting, configuration management, monitoring, security, reliability etc.
What You'll Do
Proactive maintenance, administration, and support of our global VoIP environment.
Daily tasks that include supporting software delivery pipelines and CI / CD systems to build and deploy our VoIP applications.
Implement and administer monitoring, alerting and logging platforms.
Administer configuration management and security systems.
Providing on-call and after hours support as required on a rotational basis.
Contribute to and provide advice on platform architecture with a focus on reliability, stability, monitoring, alerting and security.
What you’ll need
A deep understanding of SIP dialog, SIP Headers, and SDP, SIP Trunks.
Liaising with Australian and overseas SIP Providers.
Previous exposure with VPN, AWS VPC Perring, AWS Virtual Private Gateways, L2TP Tunnels.
Understanding of Iptables, Security Groups, Network ACL, NAT and NAT Gateways.
Experience managing high performance / high availability environments.
Comfortable deploying infrastructure in AWS (EC2, S3, RDS and other).
Solid understanding of orchestration and configuration tools : Terraform, Ansible or other.
Familiar with CI / CD Pipelines & tools (Jenkins, Octopus, Bamboo, CodePipeline or other).
