Strategic Leadership

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of MRA’s Australian Retail & Direct business strategies
  • Treaty Management and Profitability

  • To deliver sustainable and profitable MRA business for selected clients
  • In-force Management

  • Provide expert advice for areas of maximising initiative value, such as repricing, recapture, restructures
  • Pricing, Client Strategy and Client Support

  • In collaboration with the Head of IF Management, CCO, Pricing Managers, develop and refine the strategy for each client
  • People Leadership

  • Coach actuarial members of the Commercial team to develop tactical, technical, leadership and client management skills
  • Risk Management

  • Design and implement processes to identify, assess, treat and monitor significant inherent risks, within the accountabilities of your function
  • Your profile

    Education / Qualifications :

  • Qualified Actuary (Fellow - FIAA or equivalent international standard) is essential.
  • Experience :

  • 7+ years retail life pricing experience in the Australia / NZ market (essential)
  • Skills and Competencies :

    Leadership :

  • Ability to influence / deliver positive outcomes for MRA through effective relationship building, negotiation and / or stakeholder engagement with clients
  • Confident decision-maker, with ability to present and recommend a decision or approach
  • Technical :

  • Expertise in pricing, with a strong focus on retail / direct products
  • Deep understanding of market, regulatory and competitor landscape for the benefit of MRA
