As a result of our current and future needs with the NSW / ACT Business Unit we are recruiting a Senior Commercial Manager for one of our major infrastructure projects which will be based in NSW.

Your opportunity

The role will manage and control the effective implementation of the commercial framework and processes, including head contract and subcontract administration (change management), commercial risk analysis, insurances, control and reporting so as to ensure the project’s objectives are achieved.

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Control all Commercial, cost control and cash flow activities for the project;
  • Control subcontract procurement administration, including overseeing subcontract agreements;
  • Ensure that all contracts meet the legal, commercial and corporate standards and agreed benchmarks;
  • Our projects connect people and communities, play a key role in urban and rural development, and provide vital, long-term infrastructure.

  • Prepare and compile monthly progress claims and budget / cost reports for the Project Director’s review and approval;
  • Maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of the head contract and of the proforma subcontracts;
  • Ensure the effective implementation of commercial and financial risk management procedures.
  • Manage the Commercial and Administration teams providing mentoring and support as necessary
  • Our minimum requirements for this role are :

  • Extensive experience of accountability for the commercial management of large - medium sized infrastructure projects (AUD200mil plus);
  • Experience in the construction industry including with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor and with recent experience in a senior contracts and commercial management role;
  • Advanced skills in procedures for project contract administration, general business administration and project management;
