Silver Chain are currently looking for Passionate, Kind and Dedicated Domestic Workers to assist our clients throughout the Perth metro.

The job :

We have live vacancies across the Perth Metro area and our metro recruitment team are looking to speak with :

Domestic Workers (Home Help) Casual & Part-Time (North / Central / East / South / Peel Regions)

  • Shifts are typically rostered between 9am to 3pm (Monday through to Friday)
  • Key responsibilities

    Our Home Helps deliver a high-quality service within client’s homes by assisting with social support & domestic tasks that they are currently unable to do.

    We encourage clients to actively participate in activities that sustain their independence. This is a physically demanding role and you will find the responsibilities may include general housekeeping (sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting), making beds, laundry (washing and ironing), occasional shopping, assistance with correspondence and occasional food preparation and basic first aid.

    About you :

    To meet the demands of our clients, Silver Chain is looking for applications from those that can commit to our busiest days each week (*minimum of 3 days) Please note that weekly shifts are dictated by our client requirements and will vary from one vacancy to the other.

    The required days and shift pattern will be discussed with you during the pre-qualifying process. Candidates with full weekly availability are highly regarded.

    To be successful in this role, you will need to be passionate about delivering the best care and also possess :

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to encourage and motivate clients to do as much for themselves as possible.
  • Take pride in your work with the ability to prioritise workload and work independently.
  • Demonstrated skills in professional housekeeping and food preparation.
  • Candidates possessing a Basic First Aid Certificate will be highly regarded.
  • Satisfactory national Police Certificate (on commencement of employment and updated every three years per the Aged Care Act 1997).
  • Current C Class’ motor vehicle driver’s licence (not on P or L plates) in addition to access to a reliable registered motor vehicle with a minimum of third-party insurance.

    We are now utilising our newly formed remote’ recruitment process. This can include video calls and online interviews. These are easily accessible for potential candidates and the process still provides a welcoming and personal touch, whilst still conforming to responsible social distancing.
