Description

  • Provide efficient and effective delivery of quality customer service to meet the expectations of the Council and the needs of the Community
  • Provide efficient and effective front counter service as the customers first point of contact to the City
  • Direct phone queries to the most appropriate officer
  • Demonstrate initiative and problem solving skills to ensure a positive image of the City at all times
  • Receive and accurately record all telephone calls relating to council procedures, policies and operations into the contact management system
  • Receive and process bookings for all Council halls
  • Manage incoming email inbox
  • Sort daily mail
  • Perform cashiering duties including daily cash balancing
  • Adhoc duties such as word processing, photocopying, filing, and other administrative tasks when required
  • Comply with occupational safety & health legislation and OSH policies & procedures
  • Comply with risk management policies & procedures
  • Profile REQUIREMENTS :

  • Highly developed customer service skills
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and problem solving skills when answering or directing customer queries
  • Ability to prioritise tasks in order of importance
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • National Police Clearance
  • A current 'C' class drivers licence
  • Previous experience in a similar role with local government
  • Strong Knowledge of MS Office, HPRM / TRIM / CM9, Civica Authority, TechnologyOne
