We have a long-standing Parks and Roadsides contract with the Mornington Peninsula Shire and is seeking a Mowing 2IC to assist and provide support to the Team Leader Mowing (and when necessary Horticulture Senior Team Leader) in carrying out, but not limited to, general mowing and weed treatment activities in bushland areas, roadside reserves and parks.
The ideal candidate has had experience supervising teams to deliver mowing and maintenance activities.

Responsibilities include :
Assist in the on-ground supervision of mowing teams to deliver general mowing and weed management activities in roadsides, reserves and parks.
Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of works and other related duties as required in line with planned programs of works.
Assist in planning, quotation and reporting of current and future works
Assist to investigate and resolve customer service requests
Lead by personal example and positively contribute to a diverse, inclusive and fair work environment
Skills and Experience :
Demonstrated experience across grass mowing / garden maintenance activities
Trade / tertiary qualification in horticulture management or related field would be advantageous
Demonstrated management and organisational skills
An eye for detail, and self-motivated team player
Construction Induction Card (White Card / Red Card);
Current Victorian Drivers Licence (Manual), Medium Rigid / Heavy Rigid Truck License
Demonstrated written communication and IT skills including intermediate skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
Ability to operate computerised equipment (e.g. mobile phone, iPAD)
