We are looking for passionate, enthusiastic and committed Team Leader in the Residential Disability Setting to join our growing organisation!
About the Role
As a Team Leader you will be leading a small team of Support Workers. some of your key responsibilities will include :
Providing varying levels of personal care
Lead and develop the support worker team in the delivery of high quality person-centred services, in accordance with individual support plans and NDIS goals, and aligned to the State and National Disability Service Standards
Develop and maintain effective communication channels with clients, families and support staff, and provide quality response to feedback and complaints.
Deliver exceptional customer service, appropriately matching customer needs and preferences with care staff capabilities
Ensure staff provide appropriate levels of assistance, support and service to each client to maximise opportunities for independence, personal growth and skill enhancement, in line with individual support plans
Ensure all policies, procedures and legislative requirements are understood and followed by staff, and monitor compliance
Be an effective role model and mentor for all team members to ensure awareness and accountability of procedures, documentation and reporting requirements
Build and maintain high standards of communication and reporting to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating skill enhancement, independence and self-determination
You must have a high level of computer literacy and ensure Data integrity; accurate data entry
What we are looking for?
We have an exciting opportunity to manage a small team in our accommodation site in Burpengary, Brisbane North. Some of the key responsibilities include :
Provide hands-on client care
Train, develop and provide support to a team of support workers
Ensure high standards of service delivery are maintained
Essential Criteria :
Minimum Certificate IV in Disability or higher
Current Police Check (issued within the last 12 months)
Current Working with Children Check
Current First Aid and CPR certificate
Willingness and availability to work day shifts, and weekends (where required)
Sound interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to prioritize and be highly organised
Highly desirable :
Previous experience managing an accommodation site
Previous experience supervising staff and managing rosters
Current driver's licence and reliable car
Manual handling training and experience
In addition to your qualifications and / or working experience, it is essential that you are / possess :
Demonstrated experience in team management or supervision (Health & Community Services, Retail or Hospitality highly desirable)
Experience in coaching and performance management
Exceptional time management skills and an ability to work under pressure
Strong and articulate communication skills
Demonstrated ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders
Basic computer skills
