Darling Downs South West Region - Various Schools
Are you a highly effective teacher? Are you deeply committed to every student succeeding, including those from diverse cultural backgrounds?
Are you looking for your next challenge? If your answer to any of these questions is YES then this life-changing opportunity is for you!
DDSW region needs dedicated, capable teachers keen to continually build their own capability and to share their knowledge and experience with colleagues as they teach students learning English as an additional language or dialect (EAL / D).
We are creating a talent pool of experienced or aspiring EAL / D teachers that we can draw on as positions become available.
Positions vary and may be full-time, part-time, temporary or contracts. They may be in state primary schools, state high schools or P- / schools.
The duration of each position will be dependent on enrolments, students' needs and funding. To be considered you must be a Queensland-registered teacher and, if you currently hold a substantive position in the Department of Education, you will need your Principal's in-principle approval for your release.
Professional learning opportunities may be offered to teachers in the talent pool (in preparation for future roles and relevant to all teaching contexts).
Induction, collaborative networks and ongoing, differentiated professional learning will be provided to support successful applicants to develop expertise in effective pedagogy for EAL / D students.
See the attached additional information for more details about the Role of an EAL / D Teacher.
