Senior Facilities Manager - JLL DFAT Account

JLL are responsible for the delivery of property services to DFAT and their estate across the globe. These property services include the asset and facilities management of their owned estate that encompasses 125 built assets within in 54 countries.

What this role involves :

The Senior Facilities Manager (SFM) will have the overall responsibility to manage day-to-day activities for the assigned sites included in your role.

For this role you will be based at the Australian Embassy in New Delhi, India. You will also have remote management responsibilities for smaller Australian Embassy footprints located in Dhaka, Mumbai, Chennai, Colombo, Kolkata and Kathmandu.

As the SFM you will have overall responsibility for delivery of comprehensive engineering and facility services, project management, budget, contractors, and staff management as required by Master Services Agreement (MSA) between DFAT and JLL.

The position requires proactive management and engagement with senior staff and stakeholders to ensure facilities and property management services do not impact on client operations or events.

Currently the portfolio includes the Chancery building, Head of Mission residence, detached staff housing, staff apartments and domestic staff accommodation.

Amenities include tennis court, pool, barbeque areas, central water feature, large entertaining lawns and extensive landscaping throughout.

You will manage a team of 14 and ensure high staff morale, trust and work ethics are promoted and displayed, whilst maintaining an environment that supports teamwork, co-operation and client centric behaviour.

You will ideally be degree qualified in mechanical or electrical engineering with a high level of technical experience in the building services, engineering and facilities management sector / s.

Superior client relationship skills, communication and interpersonal skills are sought. These traits combined with an eye for detail and proven financial acumen will hold you in good stead to securing this unique and challenging position.

Of course, you will be a superior communicator who loves managing your team to success!

You must be an Australian Citizen in order to comply with our clients requirement with the ability to gain and retain a NV2 Australian Security Clearance.

This role will initially be based in Australia then will move to India once clearances have been granted
