About the Role

The Wholesale Operations team within the APAC region, supports the CDF Teams, with providing a high quality of service to both internal and external customers across the region, which is delivered in a timely manner with a high degree of accuracy.

This role will be responsible for assisting in the design and delivery of projects within the APAC CDF Operations team. The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the CDF Operations leadership teams, located in Sydney and Shanghai as well as liaising with other functions, who may be located outside of the region and this role will report into the APAC CDF Operations Leader.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Actively lead or support implementation of Operations projects or x-functional projects where Operations input is required
  • Gather, collate and analyse data to provide accurate and timely reports in relation to the development and delivery of projects
  • Organise, attend and actively participate in stakeholder meetings and APAC Operations project meetings , taking responsibility for capturing key tasks and actions and ensuring these are completed as required
  • Monitor project risks and issues, escalating appropriately and working collaboratively to ensure timely resolution to remove any impact to delivery of the project(s)
  • Be responsible for the design, development and implementation of any required Policy & Procedure Manuals that may be required to support implementation of a project, or update existing manuals with changed processes as required.
  • To develop or update existing process maps, in accordance with the business process mapping methodology

  • Take ownership for the effective management of all CDF APAC Policy & Procedure Manuals, ensuring accuracy, working with the Governance team to include all relevant controls are captured to mitigate operational risk
  • Where training is required, to take responsibility for the accuracy, design and delivery of all training materials
  • To develop any required user acceptance (UAT) script; oversee all UAT activities and participate as required and accurately capturing all results, escalating any issues or concerns in a timely manner to the relevant stakeholders
  • Market Skills and Certifications

    Qualifications Required

  • At least 2 years’ experience gained within a Financial Services Operations team
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry within APAC
  • Knowledge and understanding of Commercial Distribution Finance (CDF)operating system, AIMS, and processes is desirable
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Visio, Excel and Word
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with an ability to analyse data and provide meaningful insights
  • Strong organisational and delivery skills with a natural bias for speed and execution
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, within tight timelines, with minimal supervision
  • Accountable, taking ownership through to resolution
  • Be an advocate of change
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to connect with all levels of team members within the business
  • Be proactive with a high degree of flexibility
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks, with varying degree of complexity
  • Experience of working in a pan-Asia or global company
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal, Mandarin is desirable
