The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Canberra Property team for an experienced Conveyancing Assistant.

As an experienced Conveyancing Assistant you will display a willingness to learn and have experience, ideally within a busy conveyancing practice.

Responsibilities will include the following :

  • Answering phone calls and assisting with client enquiries;
  • Liaising with clients, banks, strata managers, relevant ACT Government authorities, and relevant utility providers;
  • Preparing legal documents and correspondence;
  • Mail merging documents and formatting;
  • Assistance with general day-to-day conveyancing tasks as required; and
  • File management and matter billing. Who we are looking for The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and diary management skills, with a client service focus.
  • You will be proficient in MS Word and formatting. You will have the ability to prioritise tasks, display initiative, have good attention to detail and a proven history of meeting deadlines.

    The core office hours are 8.30am to 5pm. Previous experience in conveyancing will be considered favourably, as will familiarity with Leap conveyancing and Affinity software, however, not essential.
