Job Description

Australian Red Cross is recruiting Emergency Room Physicians to join our international aid worker (delegate) register.

The Emergency Room Physician works within ICRC operations and accordingly humanitarian assistance to people affected by conflict and armed violence.

The Emergency Room Physician works as part of the ICRC hospital team to treat patients who are either war wounded or victims of injury or illness.

Sent into a humanitarian context when existing facilities are unable to provide medical care, the physician may work from existing hospitals or in a specific medical facility set up to address the humanitarian crisis.

The Emergency Room Physician is central to the management and activities of the emergency department.
