Accountable to the Manager Facility Services, you will undertake a range of cleaning services utilising and operating cleaning machines as necessary in support of the treatment and care of patients that meets the standards required by the Health Service.
You may also be required to undertake laundry duties, sorting and laundering dirty / clean client clothes and linen. Port Pirie Regional Health Service has 95 beds available for people with an acute medical condition, adults and children, surgical, obstetric, palliative care and care for people over 75 years of age.

Previous experience with industrial equipment and cleaning procedures will be required, demonstrating the ability to work well within a team environment of varying ages and backgrounds.
High level interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to relate to people from different cultures, backgrounds and circumstances will complement your ability to work in various settings and relate to all levels of staff.
Alongside your previous experience and knowledge of Infection Control principles, you must have a strong commitment to quality and customer service.
In addition, it is essential that you possess effective written, verbal and numeracy skills.
