The role

We are looking for a passionate part-time HR Business Partner to join our Leadership team. Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for delivering tactical HR advice, supporting line managers and providing the full range of general human resources services and activities, including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, advising on HR policies and procedures, talent development, compensation and benefits, reward and recognition, health and wellbeing and workplace health and safety.

We are after a multi-talented, flexible and hands-on individual who is comfortable driving alone the HR function in its entirety.

The role is 24 hours per week (ideally spread over four days) and will include a small amount interstate travel from time to time.

This could potentially move to a full-time position in the future.

Key responsibilities :

  • Execute upon the HR & Training Strategy, including the continued monitoring and implementation of :
  • Reward & recognition programme
  • Performance Appraisal process across GoGet
  • Ensure all policies are up to date, and communicated to employees
  • Administration of Employment Hero HRIS
  • Co-ordinate regular town hall events, and communication to employees to drive engagement
  • Conduct Employee Engagement survey, and own the process of driving change as a result of the feedback
  • Improve the GoGet induction and onboarding process
  • Improve use and effectiveness of our training platform
  • Support the co-ordination of the compensation and benefits review
  • Support the annual budgeting cycle, particularly headcount,
  • HR, Training and T&E budget
  • Providing specialist employee / industrial relations advice or sourcing of that advice and support team leaders and managers, including active involvement in escalated cases
  • Support and educate managers on procedures for recruitment, selection, onboarding, and exit process. Advise on best practice and oversee to ensure adherence to GoGet policies and procedures.
  • Update training to reflect changes in Work, Health & Safety policy. And ensure all employees complete the training modules on an annual basis.
  • What will you need to succeed?

  • Bachelor degree in a related field or a combination of education and appropriate experience.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a HR Generalist role at the Advisor or Business Partner level, preferably in a SME culture.
  • Demonstrated experience resolving ER / IR issues in Australia
  • Experience working with Modern Awards and Employment Contracts
  • Experience with both office based and field-based teams
  • Knowledge and understanding of HR processes including recruitment, performance management, learning & development
  • Strong influencing and relationship building skills with the ability to adapt communication style to be effective with all levels
  • Focused, highly-organised, and strong multi-tasking abilities
  • Exceptional written and verbal skills
  • Have demonstrated business acumen and the confidence to articulate ideas and make decisions
  • Outcome focused with the ability to solve for issues, manage risk and provide pragmatic solutions
  • A good team player with the ability to work on own initiative
