We are seeking experienced Diamond Drillers to join our West African operations for a September and October start. You will play a vital role in training and upskilling the local workforce while using your expertise within the Diamond Drill operations on site.

  • Key requirements;
  • A minimum of five years’ continuous mining experience in same or similar role
  • Expatriate experience would be a huge advanced, but not essential
  • A positive work ethic in line with company principals
  • Self-starter who will work with minimal supervision
  • Drilling Certification is desirable
  • First Aid Certificate is desirable
  • International Drivers licence or the ability to obtain one
  • Ability to mentor, coach and train the Offsiders in the day to day tasks required to run a rig
  • Ability to organise and establish priorities, following up on outstanding tasks and closing out any completed works / task where necessary
  • Barminco is one of the world's largest, hard rock mining companies with over three decades of experience. We are currently developing over 120 kilometres per year, and mining above 10 million tonnes on our multi-million-dollar fleet of underground mining equipment.

    With new projects forecasted, this will see Barminco and AUMS grow to over 4,300 employees in 2021.
