Position Description

Based in Kalgoorlie, our client provides specialist hydraulic cylinder rebuilds, in-house chroming and light / heavy fabricating and machining services.

They offer service exchange, repair and manufacture of a wide range of hydraulic cylinders, across a diverse range of industries, including transport, quarrying and mining, with an emphasis on fast turnaround times.

They are now seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice Fitter and Machinist to join this experienced team, to carry out fitting and machining work, whilst working towards a nationally recognised qualification - Certificate 3 in Engineering - Mechanical Trade.

Essential Skills / Qualifications :

  • Completion of a Certificate 2 in Engineering or relevant workshop experience
  • Must possess the ability to read and understand policies, procedures and work instructions
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to follow instruction
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Must be able complete basic arithmetic calculations without the use of a calculator
