Control the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements.

Ensure that customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints in order to meet marketing and financial objectives.

Some of the key activities you will undertake are :

  • Provide a high level of advice and guidance to a range of stakeholders across the Company with respect to Logistics and Supply Support Management activities.
  • Ensure the development and delivery of supply support management plans and reporting requirements.
  • Establish and manage Logistics Information (LI) and Maintenance Management Systems (MMS) to ensure availability of accurate and reliable mission and support system data.
  • Conduct technical spares assessment including assessing, identification, support system optimisation and special spares assessing tasks.
  • Manage repair and supply pipelines of components to ensure project targets are achieved.
  • Conduct stock requirement management activities, including stock holdings assessments, sparing usage management, and burn down rate calculations.
  • Ensure the delivery of goods, services and information to external customers, and internally to a maintenance support service delivery organisation.
  • Actively engage with both suppliers and customer organisations to ensure prompt service response is provided.
  • Coordinate the obsolescence management system including investigations and identification of suitable replacement items, LOT buy analysis and provision of support to redesign analysis.
  • Conduct support system supportability analysis, codification, and cataloguing activities.
  • About you :

    To be successful, you will have :

  • Significant experience in data item management, with experience using MILIS (highly desirable), eMRD, CAMM2, MEX, OPUS10, Omega PS or other similar logistics / maintenance systems.
  • Significant knowledge, ability and experience in maintenance and repair methodologies
  • Significant experience in the planning of material management and equipment associated within a large and technically complex facility
  • Significant experience and knowledge of material planning and tracking of scheduled work programs within a quality system
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to implement and maintain structured material management plans to meet maintenance, operational and quality objectives
  • Significant experience liaising with service contractors and service providers
  • Significant experience in the use of an Inventory Management System, with proven ability to analyse material management reports and information
  • Prerequisite qualification :

  • Tertiary qualifications (Certificate IV or above) in a relevant discipline (electronics, electrical, mechanical engineering, etc.
  • from a recognised institution, and / or equivalent relevant experience (preferably within the defence industry)

  • Relevant certifications or Professional membership

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills including the ability to prepare and present concise oral and written reports, briefings, updates and other documentation to internal and external stakeholders
  • Pro-active approach with the ability to understand the business, identify issues, and develop and maintain relationships in order to achieve business objectives.
  • Complete understanding of principles, theories and concepts and ability to apply these to solve problems
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, including ability to provide solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
  • Ability to develop and determine approaches to solutions in a practical and creative manner
  • Excellent ability to follow through and investigate issues with a thorough, methodological approach with a focus on drawing out quality solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple, concurrent activities, with tight deadlines, while understanding and managing priorities, dependencies and risks
  • Strong ability to adapt and maintain a flexible approach to changing needs or priorities
  • Excellent learning aptitude with a willingness to constantly update knowledge in a dynamic environment
  • Special Requirements :

    Applicants are required to be Australian Citizens and eligible to hold & maintain CoA Baseline security clearance.
