The Algorithmics Delivery Services Division is responsible for providing clients with the best possible quality post-sales service in terms of consultancy, project management and implementation work and for supporting the Sales team during the pre-sales effort.

A very significant proportion of the Company’s global revenue is realised through the teamwork of this division.

Key Responsibilities

To provide clients with a comprehensive range of skills to support the implementation of end to end credit risk solutions primarily in support of counterparty credit management.

This role will involve the provision of both pre and post sales support to ensure our clients receive the best possible advice, guidance and quality of service.

The consultants are also focal points of contact within the firm for their expertise.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Assist in both executing and advising on the implementation of projects. Most of this consultancy work is carried out on-site for the duration of the projects assigned
  • Occasionally conduct pre-sales presentations and workshops for clients. (To be convincing presenters, consultants must become highly familiar with Algo products, the business they support and the technology involved).
  • Advise clients on how the use of Algo products and technology in their environments can best meet their objectives.
  • Keep abreast with developments within Algo and in the Financial Markets space, both in business and technological terms.
  • Make available expertise within the firm for training and advising others, and for helping with the further development of our products.
  • Deliver both internal and external product training.

  • Support the Global Services management in the development of the business.
  • Ability to aptly articulate, document key business concepts and issues
  • Essential Expertise

  • Credit risk associated with retail, wholesale and treasury products
  • Working knowledge of the credit risk cycle
  • Understand key recent Regulatory Capital requirements
  • Knowledge of credit and portfolio credit risk systems and the process of implementation
  • Expertise in business requirements gathering and documentation
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Familiarity with database concepts and SQL
  • Knowledge of data models, and data transformation routines
  • Knowledge of data formats such as XML, JSoN
  • Travel is essential to role
  • Desired Expertise :

  • Hands on use of Unix and / or Linux commands
  • Knowledge of any shell scripting or programming languages such as Perl / Python / VBScript / Java / JavaScript / C++ / C
  • Work Experience

  • Strong experience in a Financial Markets / Consultancy environment with expertise in regulatory & counterparty credit risk practice and methodology
  • Education

    Degree or equivalent level in relevant subjects (Maths, Economics, Business, Applied Computer Science) preferred


  • Good command of English, both verbal and written
  • Willingness to work on client sites as well as to work in small teams or alone
  • Good client facing and communication skills
  • Keen enthusiasm to solve technical problems
  • Self reliant, self starter, self motivated, requiring minimum supervision
  • Willingness to travel
  • Willingness to maximise available opportunities for development by attending relevant training courses; and self study to keep abreast of developments relevant to the business
  • Good sense of humour and an ability to thrive in a growing and dynamic organisation
