We're looking for a fresh voice to join our crew with an in-house writing gig. Our office is in Crows Nest and the successful candidate will need to be able to come in a couple of days a week on a freelance basis.
We’re pretty flexible with what days so if you’ve got other commitments (uni, TAFE, work, hanging out with your dogs, etc.
we can work something out.
The ideal person for this role is someone who can nail our tone of voice and use a creative, out-of-the-box thinking approach to everything they do.
You need to be organised, a great communicator and know how to work to a deadline.
We want someone that knows the difference between clickbait and clickable, can write a good yarn and is keen to help other young people going through the highs and lows of their teenage years.
If you’re keen, we want to hear about your story . Chuck in your details below and in the 'personal message' section make sure you include a bio about you (we won't read it if you don't) we want to see your personality shine through, so make sure that by the time we finish reading your application that we’ll wanna grab a beer with you.
Make sure you tack on your resume or link us to any writing samples you have but we’ll tell ya right now that we don’t care about qualifications (you don’t even need to have any previous writing experience).
If you have a look at our success stories you’ll see that some of our best contributors are uni drop outs or hated high school, but they can write, which is the most important thing.
You need to be able to absolutely nail the Year13 tone of voice to land this gig and we're looking for the right type of person, not just a qualification.
