About the TeamThe Content Partnerships team is exactly as our name implies; we cover all things content and partnerships.

We work directly with Creators, Public Figures, Media Agencies, Broadcasters and Communities to grow their presence online and on TikTok.

Your RolePartnerships are a critical means by which we drive user growth, awareness, and usage of TikTok. We are looking for an experienced strategist to build on existing high level relationships and forge high impact new partnerships in the media industry.

As the Media Partnerships Manager for TikTok, you will work with publishers, broadcasters, news outlets, sports and gaming organisations, education and lifestyle brands (among others) to advocate for the TikTok platform and create a healthy ecosystem of diverse and local video content.

You will present to partners on TikTok's value, and lead cross-functional initiatives to ensure our partners are positioned for success and our users have access to the best local content possible.

This role requires close cross-functional collaboration with colleagues in Marketing, Programming, Sales and Operations, in addition to various ByteDance teams around the world.

Responsibilities- Develop strategy for media partnerships across key verticals including entertainment, sports, gaming, education and news, among others.

  • Generate leads, negotiate and execute commercial deals to expand on-platform content offering.- Develop and maintain strong direct relationships with key partners.
  • Manage day-to-day partnership activities, drive performance growth across partner accounts, and advocate internally on behalf of our partners.

  • Respond to partner briefs on how to produce content for the platform at a company level and across key properties, which may include TV shows, sports teams etc, and with key talent.
  • Develop, lead and support big picture projects that will help realise TikTok's local content vision.- Interface regularly with other XFN Leads in PR, GR, Sales, Legal, Content & Programming and Marketing.
  • Work hand-in-hand with the TikTok Creator Community to generate opportunities for creators, media organisations and brands.
  • Qualifications- BA / BS degree or higher.- 6+ years experience media and / or digital industry, with a focus on business development, digital initiatives and audience growth.

  • Strong commercial skills, including excellent business acumen, strategic and creative thinking.- Experience initiating and driving new business opportunities in the media space.
  • Excellent negotiation and analytical skills regarding contractual, technical, and financial issues with partners.- Extensive network of contacts across traditional media, including entertainment, sports, gaming, lifestyle, digital marketing, news and education.
  • Extensive experience working cross-functionally and with all levels of management. - Deep passion for pop culture, TikTok and mobile entertainment.
  • Extremely good and structured communication skills, both verbal and written.- High energy, positive attitude and willingness to work fast.
  • Proven track record of driving change and innovation across organisations.- Experience using data and analytics in the service of larger initiatives.
