    BT Financial Group is organised by frontline business units; Advice, Insurance and Investments, Platforms and Operations, Private Wealth and Superannuation, and is supported by of HR, IT, Risk and Finance functions.

    The Superannuation team’s core objective is to maximise the Super opportunity by acquiring and retaining customers in the early accumulation stage through Retail and Corporate Super as well as customers in prime of life through SMSF and Retirement products.

    The objective of this position is the delivery of retention (including reducing employee redemptions), growth and cross selling initiatives to a panel of existing Workplace Super employer customers in NSW and through their intermediaries.

    In addition to servicing the needs of key employers by building key relationships with HR Directors, CFOs and other key decision makers, this role will work closely with our external and aligned financial advisers, as well as Westpac Group Relationship Managers to facilitate employer and member services.

    You will need to have strong relationship, problem solving, stakeholder management, written and oral communications skills to ensure you exceed your clients’ expectations.

    Intra state travel within NSW (and occasionally interstate) will be required to service these clients.

    This is a fast paced role. The successful candidate will be on site visiting and meeting with individual customers 3-4 days a week.

    Self organisation and time management skills are paramount.

    Responsibilities in this role :

  • Ensure employers, financial advisers and members have access to the correct resources to help answer their administration or marketing queries
  • Ensure employers have access to training so they can make the most of the online administration facilities.
  • Facilitate regular Policy Committee Meetings
  • Work with Member Consultants and other Relationship Managers to arrange and deliver client facing education seminars and individual consultations for existing customers.
  • Work with the Offer Team to create campaigns for existing customers.
  • Facilitate members’ access to advice through our Scalable team or their Financial Advisers as appropriate.
  • Work with employers and employees to increase penetration of SMSF accounts and provide referrals to the Wealth Connect team
  • Introduce employers and members to the Westpac Group through workplace initiatives such as Wellbeing’ to showcase the Group’s wider capabilities.
  • Ensure a continuous focus on the end to end customer experience in day to day dealings.
  • Ensure operational and compliance risks are effectively managed
  • Work with the BDMs to project manage the transition of new business opportunities
  • Manage transition material and logistics required for plan implementation
  • Participate in all transitions activities onsite (including delivering seminars and meeting employees individually)
  • To be successful you will have the following skills :

  • Technical expertise Knowledge of financial markets, and legislative / regulatory changes that affect super.
  • Corporate Super experience is highly regarded
  • Problem solving Ability to recognise problems before they arise and work with various stakeholders to resolve issues and present a solution whilst managing client expectations at all times.
  • Influencing skills - Demonstrated expertise in influencing external customers at the right levels to achieve the best outcomes for our customers.
  • Business acumen At all times, using business acumen to recognise that the delivery of outcomes must be commercially sustainable for both our customers and the Westpac Group.
  • Relationship management Building strong and lasting partnerships with customers.
  • Written and verbal communication skills The highest level of presentation, verbal and reporting skills are paramount.
  • RG146 compliant is essential
  • Tertiary qualifications in a business or finance related discipline.
  • Full unrestricted valid driver’s licence
