The Fitness Instructor and Fitness Instructor Group / Aqua will design and deliver exercise programs for "low risk" individuals, and assist in the efficient and effective operation of the Fitness area.
The Fitness Trainer will design and deliver exercise programs in the designated specialisation of Personal Trainer and / or Specific Populations.
The casual rate for these positions is between $22.13 - $24.87 (dependant on what level you are appointed) gross per hour plus casual loading and up to 12.4% superannuation.
We are currently recruiting multiple casual positions, though more positions may be made available in the future. This process will remain current for 12 months, therefore your application may be used to fill future vacancies.
These positions will be based at the Milne Bay Aquatic Centre and Highfields Fitness and Recreation Centre.
Howto be successful in this position - SuccessCriteria
Hold the mandatory qualification(s), training, and / or experience, as outlined under the Success Criteria in the Position Descriptions (attached).
Demonstrated ability to conduct an initial client induction including basic screening, fitness appraisal, program development and exercise instruction.
Demonstrated ability to design individualised training programs within the context of a long-term plan and to monitor basic fitness programs, including modification of existing programs to meet individual requirements.
Basic knowledge of statutory requirements, policies and procedures relevant to the work area and to undertake a range of activities within defined areas of responsibility with adherence to established guidelines and procedures.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to provide accurate timely advice in a helpful and supportive manner.
