Our client is a multi-faceted financial services firm which, thanks to recent investment of capital are taking an aggressive acquisition strategy forward, to drive growth and market capitilisation.

You'll join a tight-knit but high performing finance team, including a CFO and FM who offer in-depth local and international experience drawn from the investment banking, technology and professional services sectors more widely.

Job Description

Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for :

  • End-to-end AP process with a focus to the transactional processing (supplier setup, data entry, allocations, approvals, payments) + supplier relationship management
  • End-to-end AR process with a focus to the transactional processing (billing, AR functions such as banking and receipting, and debt collection)
  • Oversight and management of accounts inbox
  • Support to fortnightly payroll processing and associated payroll administration
  • Bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Assistance at end-of-month - GL reconciliations etc.
  • Contribution to process improvement initiatives
  • Contribution to new ERP system implementation, as directed
  • Stepping up to cover for the Assistant Accountant in their role, as required
  • The Successful Applicant

    To be considered for and successful in this role you will :

  • Arrive with a strong generalist accounts background across AP, AR and payroll admin (ideally)
  • Ideally have some supporting education to corroborate your practical experience
  • Be savvy to systems and a quick learner to technology overall
  • Be able to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication to represent the business appropriately to internal and external stakeholders
  • Be able to demonstrate your understanding of accounting principles
  • Bring a 'high-achiever' approach to your work - you're committed, take pride, have strong time-management, and are both reliable and diligent
  • Be able to provide examples of working well in small team environments
