The Opportunity

Civmec are currently seeking an additional Logistics Officer to join our Plant Yard team, based at Henderson. This role is available as a full time permanent position.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure checks to verify stock levels for re-ordering are accurate and appropriate.
  • Ordering is completed in a timely manner to ensure the continued supply of consumables
  • Repair and maintain store issued equipment in accordance with company procedures
  • Complete all necessary documentation pertaining to the mobilisation, movement and repair of equipment on sites
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping practices in the Fabrication stores and associated yard areas
  • Coordinate site supply logistics (including unloading vehicles, managing warehouse supplies and accessing stock)
  • Liaise with managers in relations to the scheduling of deliveries on a regular basis
  • Check all equipment systematically against relevant stock or alternative identification numbers as required
  • Ensure competent modification of the plant to maintain production efficiency
  • Understand the operation and set-up requirements of the manufacturing / Construction equipment
  • Liaise with the Purchasing officer to coordinate the ordering of manufacturing supplies and repairs for the whole Newcastle facility as required for the facility.
  • Meet Civmec corporate requirements in relation to asset movements
  • Manage delivery dockets including tracking and reporting
  • Enter and track all transport manifests including all paperwork in relation to the transportation of goods
  • About You

  • Diploma in Logistics or similar (preferred)
  • Prior experience in a storeperson / logistics coordinator role
  • Intermediate level PC skills including good use of Excel spreadsheets
  • Developed interpersonal skills
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of plant and equipment
  • Proactive work ethic
