An exciting opportunity exists for a Business Partner - Safety to join our high performing Safety & Capability team based in Cooma NSW.

The primary focus of this role is to partner with a diverse client group to deliver consistent, best-practice Safety and Emergency Management policies, standards, and procedures across Snowy Hydro, and to collaborate effectively with stakeholders to provide support, education and practical operational solutions in all aspects of safety.

Regular travel to our regions in NSW, Victoria and South Australia is a key requirement of this role.

  • Key accountabilities of the role are outlined below;
  • Develop and continuously improve SHL's safety strategy, initiatives, policies, processes and standards governance framework to meet best-practice industry standards

    Ensure the risk and assurance framework supports and delivers on enterprise safety objectives

    Ensure SHL complies with all regulatory safety requirements

    Contribute to the development of SHL's Safety Management Systems to meet business needs and report to the business on all areas of SHL's safety performance

    Collaborate with and provide a high level of customer service to business stakeholders and client groups to promote SHL's safety culture, deliver practical risk-based operational solutions and provide safety education

    Assist managers to promptly and appropriately conduct and resolve incident investigations and use findings to mitigate future risks

    Build and maintain effective relationships with client groups and stakeholders

    Demonstrate a commitment to living the values and required leadership behaviours

    To be successful in this role, you will need :

    Tertiary Qualifications in a relevant field

    Minimum 5 years as a safety professional

    Strong foundation in risk management principles

    Ability to influence change within a business

    Exceptional customer service and commercial focus

    Ability to engage and develop effective working relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders

    Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
