  • Job Overview The Cloud Technologist is a member of the APAC Cloud Technology Team within the Oracle SaaS Applications business; covering all SaaS applications from CRM, HCM, ERP, EPM to Social. The Cloud Technology team is a specialist team supporting sales within the APAC applications business. The team specializes in customer Cloud Strategy and IT stakeholder management and how we run our Public Cloud including Security, Data Privacy, Compliance, Operations, Networking, and Interoperability both Cloud to Cloud and Cloud to on premise systems. These topics are at the forefront of our customers’ & prospects’ agendas and are key areas of differentiation for Oracle. The Cloud Technology Team answers this by helping Oracle intelligently engage in these conversations, driving SaaS win rates and revenue by delivering messages about Oracle’s enterprise advantage and turning sales obstacles into sales differentiators. The overall mission of the Cloud Technology Team is to secure SaaS adoption and revenue growth through evangelism, community engagement and supporting sales. Cloud Technologists must be able to talk about cloud technology intelligently and enthusiastically to various stakeholders including security and architecture teams, business sponsors through to CxO Level, both within the customer’s IT, business departments, and within Oracle. Being part of a divisional team, travel will be expected to various customer/Oracle locations. Passion, curiosity, technical depth, excellent objection handling and exceptional communication and presentation skills are required. Job Responsibilities
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key organizational actors in primary geography and across APAC
  • Assists in the establishment of the engagement model for the Cloud Technologist role in primary geography by working with key organizational actors
  • Participates in planning and deal management activities including account strategy and planning sessions, cadence calls, and war room sessions
  • Develops and maintains practitioner level expertise in Cloud Technologist Core Areas including general contracting process and artefacts, IT stakeholder objection management, Security, Data Privacy and Sovereignty, Compliance, Data Centre Strategy and Operations, Networking, Integration and Interoperability, Operational Processes, and Patching and Upgrades
  • Develops and maintains advanced expertise in assigned are of specialization (Security, Compliance, Networking, Interoperability, Competitive Positioning)
  • Develops and maintains expertise in systems used to publish information, raise information requests, and approval systems
  • Assumes lead relationship management role for customer IT stakeholders focusing on key deals
  • Works with Cloud Technologist specialists, Enterprise Architects, and Solution Consultants to understand and close IT stakeholder issues related to the consumption of Cloud Services
  • Works with Cloud Commercial Team, Legal, and Deal Management to clarify and modify positions during contract negotiations
  • Provides internal and external advocacy on Cloud Technology and can convey a compelling and convincing case for Oracle Cloud technologies vs. the competition
  • Able to deliver articulate, effective, and audience-appropriate presentations/ workshops with technically oriented content at various events/meetings to both small and large audiences
  • Maintains a basic legal understanding of APAC legislation which concerns customers and prospects, moving to the Cloud
