The role

MessageMedia is looking for a high energy and inquisitive Sales Lead Generator to identify, contact and book appointments with high value prospects.

The successful candidate will use their commercial acumen to identify high value industries, and the companies within them which would benefit from the MessageMedia product offering.

Key responsibilities of the Sales Lead Generator will include :

  • Being responsible for telephone and email prospecting, introducing our product offering, valuing the opportunity, and setting appointments for our Outside Sales Team for follow up
  • Researching, contacting, and qualifying potential leads and opportunities to build up a pipeline of warm opportunities to hand over to our BDMs
  • Working from multiple existing prospect databases as well as using their own lead sourcing initiative
  • Setting up calls and appointments for our BDMs to begin their engagement
  • Using commercial awareness to introduce and promote ideal solutions for potential clients and highlight ROI opportunities
  • Working with the MessageMedia marketing team to proactively nurture your lead base
  • Ensuring effective working relationships are maintained with BDMs
  • About you

    To be successful in this role, you will need to have at least 12 months experience in an outbound sales role, ideally in the Telco or Tech space.

    You will be able to demonstrate success in new business telephone sales in a fast- paced environment, consistently achieving targets and deadlines.

    The successful candidate will need be experienced at cold calling and getting through gate keepers, identifying key stakeholders, handling objections and being resilient to rejection.

    A strong sales focus with the ability to open doors and make introductions is a must. A history of lead generation and appointment setting with be looked upon favourably.
