Position summary :
Downer Defence Systems requires a Level 3 ICT Project Officer to work in a Systems Program Office within Defence located in Osborne, SA.
Key Responsibilities :
Work closely with the ICT Manager to ensure the effective coordination and support of the project’s governance bodies, including secretariat duties for several key stakeholder meetings, assisting with developing ToR / Agenda’s and other meetings artefacts, taking meeting minutes and the management of actions and decisions;
Support with engaging and on-boarding project resources, including the management of logistics and project assets;
Gather requirements from the internal stakeholders and create delivery / rollout logistics and planning documents;
Assist in managing the projects artefacts through SharePoint and other departmental EDRM tools, to ensure the timely availability of information and effective naming conventions and version control to support the projects;
Assist in updating the projects risks and issue logs, including actively seeking treatment / control measures and tracking these actions; and
General project support as required by the ICT Manager, including workshop coordination.
Essential Requirements :
Previous demonstrable experience in ICT Program or Project management field with the ability to contribute to the effective coordination and operation of a large and complex projects;
Excellent verbal communication and documentation skills;
Adaptable and team oriented with a real drive for excellence and project success;
Experience in coordination and administrative activities, such as file management, transcription in a high pressured and structured work environment; and
Demonstrated ability to produce high quality and accurate minutes / actions / decisions from governing body meetings.
Experience with a range of ICT project management tools, MS office suite, including Project, Excel and Visio.
Desirable Requirements :
Demonstrated experience working on ICT infrastructure projects (Network and Data Centres) including establishment of Operation Environments;
Procurement and contract management experience in a complex commercial / industry / Commonwealth collaboration environment;
Knowledge of federal government departmental policies and processes including a strong understanding of records management principles and practices.
