Panasonic is a market leader with a strong brand, quality products and great people. Our Air Conditioning Group currently has an opportunity for a Senior Business Development Manager (National position) to join our growing business.
The purpose of this position is to achieve sales targets by hunting for new customers and then building long term partnerships with them.
Customers’ you will be targeting will be residential house builders. The role will also involve selling the benefits of Panasonic solutions to all other stakeholders involved in the decision making process.
Some of the key responsibilities of the Business Development Manager will include :
Driving consideration and acceptance of Panasonic air conditioning solutions;
Achieving set sales targets ;
Developing and maintain a strategic account plan to grow existing customers as well as creating brand new business partnerships
Providing accurate & effective forecasting of demand for product & services;
Utilising market data to analyse and identify growth opportunities;
Actively participating & supporting industry forums, seminars & exhibitions as required;
Being a product champion to the house builders market, possessing a thorough understanding of the Panasonic range and how we can add value for our customers;
Ensuring strategic planning strategies are implemented to grow and contribute to the success of the air-conditioning product category.
Qualifications / Requirements
The successful candidate will :
Be a strategic thinker & sales hunter, who is organised and possesses exceptional analytical, presentation and communication skills.
Have a strong understanding and personal networks within the Australian residential house building and construction industry;
Be capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Possess substantial business development or sales experience in the house building and construction industry
An understanding of the air conditioning market and products is preferred but not mandatory
