The Technical Pre-Sales Consultant role is dedicated to supporting the enterprise sales team on closing strategic and large sales opportunities.
What will you be doing?
Your primary focus will be supporting enterprise accounts by contributing to and executing on account and opportunity plans leading to the generation of software license / subscription, maintenance, services and education bookings.
We will provide you with the resources to become a domain expert in AvePoint products and solutions to effectively discover, develop, position and differentiate AvePoint’s unique value proposition to both prospects and customers.
Your responsibilities will include :
Partnering with enterprise sales team to gain extensive knowledge base of accounts, including their business profile, key players, competition, application and technology footprint, buying processes, compelling events, political environment and strategies and defined white space .
Positioning AvePoint to win new business within the account by developing, communicating and supporting effective selling strategies that are based on valid, customer-specific value propositions.
Within each assigned account, seeking to expand and strengthen AvePoint’s presence by establishing proactive relationships with influential people, both within the customer and identified key third parties.
Executing upon the Account Plan for each assigned account, keeping it up-to-date on an ongoing basis and sharing its content with virtual account team members.
Routinely discussing and communicating opportunity plan sales strategy with other members of the virtual account team.
Continuously gathering knowledge of competitors and how to effectively position AvePoint solutions against them.
Understanding what technical resources are required in the virtual account team for opportunity success in all assigned accounts.
Lead the technical strategy and participate in internal virtual account team meetings, and communicate with virtual team members to ensure successful execution of strategy.
Proactively seek to contribute to AvePoint’s growth objectives by providing mentoring and coaching as needed to other members of the sales and technical team, new members of your virtual account team, as well as to any new employees.

You’re tasked with serving as a key technical resource throughout the sales cycle. That means you’ll need to become an authority in the features and benefits of our software solutions to properly educate customers, gain consensus, and demonstrate value solving their SharePoint and Office 365 concerns.
Other qualities you will need to be a fit for this role include :
University degree required.
5+ years of enterprise software pre-sales engineering support experience in information technology market required.
Thought leader and subject matter expert in Microsoft solutions required.
Demonstrated experience and expertise selling technology solutions to senior business and IT decision makers by reinforcing the value of the technology to the customer’s overall business pain and / or strategic opportunities.
Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow through to drive software license, maintenance and services revenue.
History of meeting and consistently exceeding quota and other business targets.
Considerable travel is required for this role.
Technical Qualities :
Broader knowledge of server and cloud offerings in the tech industry, i.e. Office 365, Azure
Experience in ITPro related topics such as server and software installation, configuration and administration, especially for Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, Dynamics CRM, SharePoint, Office 365 & Azure technologies
Working knowledge of TCP / IP, DNS, Active Directory, SMTP, and DHCP technologies
Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, IIS, and Active Directory
Understanding of Microsoft SharePoint architecture, components, and configuration, including the differences between SharePoint versions and hybrid architecture
