As the Senior Commercial Insights Analyst for our Vision Care team you will support the Commercial Vision Care Australia / New Zealand team using a deep understanding of the Vision Care business and leading-edge insights generation and analytic techniques, to ideate, create and evaluate actionable insights.

Responsibilities include :

  • Proactively close key data knowledge gaps by developing tools / models to support fast insight led decision making.
  • Provide your own insights, analysis and recommendations to the commercial team based on your experience and data from numerous sources.
  • Analyse the feasibility of various commercial proposals put forward by the Key Account and Marketing Teams and work collaboratively with them to improve return on investment.
  • Generate, maintain and continuously seek to improve a standard monthly suite of reports for the commercial team in accordance with required time frames.
  • Produce ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed
  • Act as the lead contact for quantitative data agencies such as IQUIVIA, IRI and other external data agencies. Drive efficiencies in output and custom reporting for the Alcon Vision Care business.
  • Generate insights and seek potential new growth opportunities based on market & segment trend performance.
  • Drive the creation of an insights bank’ for the ANZ Vision Care business to leverage across the total team. Act as the champion of insights for the team, also liasing with the International Marketing Group as required.
  • Drive the return on investment analysis for commercial programs (both B2C and B2B) and trade spend analysis with key customers to assist the business to drive more efficient future investments
  • Collaborate with Senior Managers to plan, prepare and validate accurate annual quota setting for sales teams in alignment with company targets and plan.
  • Provide reporting based on various compensation plans for the Vision Care business unit across Optometry and Pharmacy.
  • Maintain the integrity of the Compensation system through validation and system controls.
  • Support rebate accrual process in coordination with Rebates Analyst and Finance team.
  • Adhoc tasks / projects as required
  • Minimum requirements

  • Relevant Bachelor's Degree from an accredited tertiary educational institution
  • 5+ years’ experience in a business analyst role or commercial analyst role
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and reporting tools
  • Demonstrated ROI analysis and process improvements.
  • Strong and demonstrated experience with IQVIA / IRI.
  • Strong and demonstrated experience with SAP, Power Business Intelligence and Einstein Analytics
