The Position :

The Design & Research Operations Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the UX practice continues to mature and grow through maintaining work processes, tools, systems and culture.

You will play a key part in driving the day to day operational and strategic improvements across the UX practice to improve operational and career development effectiveness.

This is a unique role that brings Product Design, User Research, and Design Systems together in a more cohesive way, with a special focus on maturing our UX practice.

You will support the Design Lead and Research Lead in UX and be accountable for the execution and collaboration of Design and Research operation objectives.

The roles key objectives include :

  • Identify gaps of best practice design methods across our current design approaches in UX, Product, Service and UI design
  • Facilitate sessions with design lead to improve these processes
  • Create and finalise process and document for the wider design chapters in a playbook or associated formats that support team and stakeholders
  • Process and tools to support sharing and advocacy of research insights across the team
  • Understand what gaps are missing within our team across culture
  • Assess our overall business strategy and ensure this drive everyday purpose to our team
  • Work with Design and Research lead to assess and understand our value and gaps we can improve within cross-functional team and design and facilitate improvement plans
  • Working with the lead research, UI, design and Heads socialise complete the career level frameworks and career paths for our UX team
  • Identify and source opportunities working with wider culture and team people partner to ensure pathways translate to wider learning opportunities and programs we can leverage
  • Ensure and manage Design chapter ceremonies for team
  • Manage relevant design and research tools, licencing and any support for corresponding business cases and budgets with leads

    You will need to have :

  • Strong understanding of end to end UX process.
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Strong understanding of UX research methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to plan and manage time efficiently
  • Demonstrated work in the area of Innovation or technology..
