    The Position

    Based in our Sydney Office and as pat of our continual growth, we are seeking an experienced Group Insurance Claims Consultant for a full-time position to provide efficient claims management in the Group Risk Administration team.

    As a Group Insurance Claims Consultant handling a Group portfolio, you will be responsible for the management / escalation of new and existing Group Insurance claims.

    You will also be working on behalf of our large brokerage client and interacting with their panel of appointed Life Insurers.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

    Manage a diverse portfolio of Income Protection and / or TPD (Total Permanent Disability) Claims

    Ensure the overall claimant experience is positive including sufficient phone contact and employing an empathetic approach to all dealings

    Contact the claimant to set expectations, answer any questions, explain the claims process and ensure the employee knows who to contact if they have queries throughout the process.

    Contact the employer to ensure they are clear on what is needed, answer any questions and set expectations.

    Conduct a warm handover with the claimant and Life Insurer at the point of claim acceptance.

    Ensure the Life Insurer is delivering in line with agreed service levels especially in relation to requests for supporting information (e.

    g. progress reports) and claim payments.

    Continued management of all key stakeholders throughout the life of the claim.

  • Ensure individual compliance to policies and procedures in all actions.
  • Resolve complaints in accordance with company guidelines.
  • About you, what we are looking for :

    To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following :

  • Minimum 12 months in either Group or Retail Life Claims Insurance Preferred
  • Strong technical skills across IP (predominately) and TPD (Total Permanent Disability)

    Exceptional Communication skills- experience in dealing with internal and external stakeholders

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • PC literate Database and Microsoft Office
  • Time management and organisational skills
  • Flexibility and receptivity to change.
