The Role :
The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) provides air power options for the Australian Government. The Air Warfare Centre (AWC) is critical to establishing the RAAF as a 5th Generation Air Force ensuring the combat force can deliver air and space power in the information age.
The role provides a range of services including : high level administration, configuration and update of the AWC Task Management System and associated AWC web-based systems in accordance with the organisation’s current and future requirements.
On a daily basis this includes managing user access requests, induction training, and providing support and assistance to Executive and Unit members.
This role requires critical, strategic thinking and liaison with stakeholders at all levels to understand, interpret and develop functional requirements and change requests, developing the requirements for software enhancements, testing new releases while ensuring data integrity and data interrogation for analysis and reporting.
About our Team :
Integration and Innovation Directorate (IID) aims to drive change across the AWC and more broadly across the RAAF through research, engagement, collaboration, demonstration, experimentation and trialling emerging technologies.
The Integration Section is the Program Management Office for AWC Integrated Projects, Tasking and Systems. This Section is responsible for coordinating a wide stakeholder community to resolve complex capability challenges facing the RAAF through an integrated, innovative and collaborative methodology.
Integration Section is also responsible for the development, management and maintenance of the generic and specialist ICT based systems in support of such processes.
The Integration Section is seeking a dynamic and resourceful ICT Project Management team consisting of two APS5s and an APS6 team leader with strong organisational, interpersonal and ICT project management skills.
Our Ideal Candidate :
The successful candidates will demonstrate experience in working with developing and delivering task management and web based systems utilising good customer communication, software understanding / manipulation along with strong research and analytical skills to deliver successful ICT solutions.
They will have successfully delivered software related training programs including the development of user documentation and materials with clear and confident communication skills enabling them to engage and build professional rapport with staff at all levels.
The APS6 candidate will have experience in team leadership and leading major organisational change or process improvement in a complex environment.
