This is a permanent part-time (0.5FTE) position commencing Term 3, 2018

Rossmoyne Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Teacher in Home Economics to teach Food and Technology classes to our students.

The suitable applicant will have high expectations, demonstrate a commitment to excellence, use a range of pedagogies and have the ability to establish and maintain a positive classroom learning environment.

They will be a flexible and adaptive teacher, able to apply the strategies of differentiated instruction and explicit teaching.

It is highly desirable that the successful applicant holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Applicants will possess strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills which will be used to develop and promote the school’s values, ethos and priorities across the school community.

You will build positive relationships with your students and be passionate about creating positive futures for students.

You will be performance driven and utilise evidence based decision-making skills.

The successful applicant will be familiar with our Future Readiness Framework :

    This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment.

    This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

    ELIGIBILITY

    Employees will be required to :

  • provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
  • obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
  • obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.

  • TRAINING

    Employees will be required to :

  • complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
  • complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
  • The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
