The Procurement Advisor is a key position working closely with business units providing strategic procurement and contract management advice and guidance across Austrade.
The person will be a member of a small cohesive team in providing procurement services to a geographically dispersed organisation.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Providing efficient procurement services to internal customers, looking at best practice procurement methods in terms of future and immediate needs.
Additionally, they will be responsible for ensuring that Austrade procurement activities align with the commonwealth resource management framework.
Preparing and providing advice on various contracts, leases and other agreements including memoranda of understanding.
Evaluating and providing advice on proposed procurement processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations and / or standards.
Managing of contracts, legal documents and internal documents, and relevant correspondence.
Ensuring Austrade’s compliance with the Commonwealth’s mandatory procurement reporting obligations.
Expertise, knowledge and experience of relevant government, policy and legislative requirements.
Contribute to planning and monitor work processes, ensure compliance with quality assurance practices and performance indicators.
Support the manager to coach and mentor others, providing guidance and feedback to staff in the team.
