Australian Beer Company has passionately been developing its Yenda Craft Beer and Pressman's Cider range since its establishment in December 2013.
The success of these brands has created opportunities within the Engineering team for a Maintenance Fitter.
Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will utilise your skills and knowledge within the manufacturing / FMCG sector, calling on your expertise in the areas of preventative maintenance, breakdown maintenance and project installations in order to maximise plant availability and reliability.
Responsibilities include :
Develop and Ensure adherence to safe work practices, site policies and procedures
Maintain a range of equipment and machinery in accordance with manufacturers' instructions and company safety procedures.
Liaise with sub-contractors in regard to work conducted on site
Undertake training, learning and acquire knowledge
Assists in the development of all staff
Maintenance of equipment in accordance with site procedures.
Ensure all paperwork / software systems are completed in accordance with requirements.
Assist in problem solving to ensure continuous improvement within packaging and brewing
Qualifications / Skills
A passion for safety and wellbeing in the workplace
A clear understanding of continuous improvement principles or experience in a lean manufacturing environment
The ability to think proactively and independently
Experience working on a high speed Packaging line and or Brewery.
Good organisational and planning ability
Understanding of 5S principles
Effective communication, literacy and numeracy skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Trades Qualification and experience as a Maintenance Fitter
