    The Role

    The position is a newly created position focused on the ownership and delivery of technical accounting advice around Capital Transactions, Balance Sheet Management, Accounting Treatments and Financial Reporting across the group.

  • The main duties of the role include;
  • Partner with the CFO, Group Treasury and business leadership around investment decisions, accounting treatments and funding requirements,
  • Own the year-end, half-year and quarter-end reporting cycles, leading a team of on-shore and off-shore resources,
  • Partner with the CFO to implement group strategic initiatives and external policy requirements,
  • Act as a key project member across several process automation and dashboarding initiatives,
  • Project manage a number of accounting standard (IFRS 9, 16 and 15) implementation programs as well as a number of key strategic investment processes,
  • Transaction support around funding, capital allocation, debt / equity management and funds transfer,
  • Partner with group and in-function finance as well divisional front-office to manage the groups capital and risk profiles, and
  • Maintain regular external industry networking to stay abreast of industry changes, regulatory developments and market trends.
  • The Person

    You will come with a broad background across Asset and Liquidity Management, Market Risk, Quantitative or Financial Control.

  • Key criteria will include;
  • Experience coaching and mentoring junior staff,
  • Big 4 or mid-tier Chartered Firm foundations,
  • Strong understanding of Infrastructure, Asset Management or Investment Management sectors and products,
  • Demonstrable experience with technical financial reporting and transaction support,
  • A keen interest in senior leadership partnering, decision support and accounting treatment advice,
  • Strong tertiary foundations in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Commerce
