The purpose of this role is to satisfactorily perform duties under the direction of the Operations Manager in the preparation, handling, portioning and / or packaging of fresh meat and other like products in a chilled environment and undertake other duties within the production department as required.
Meat processing and portion cutting.
Preparation and production of further processed quality meat products
Operating the band saw
Compliance with OH&S guidelines and safe food handling procedures
General Process work
Assisting in the operation of machinery to dice, mince or tenderise meat
Packing and wrapping meat
Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications
Awareness of OH&S and Food Safety requirements
Awareness of HACCP food safety program and the "cold chain" process in particular
Enjoy practical and manual work
Have good hand-eye coordination
Ability to do quick and accurate work with hands
Good communication skills
Accurate with an eye for detail
Good time management and organisational skills
Motivated and Reliable
Ability to work in a team environment
