Role : Senior Finance Manager

Salary : $160,000k - $175,000k + Bonus

Join an award-winning Australian financial services organisation with excellent work / life balance to be based in their Sydney CBD offices.

In this highly visible role, you will lead a team of 5 overseeing the financial accounting function. You will have high visibility in the business and have great exposure to the Executive Team.

This position is suited to an experienced financial controller with an ability to get hands-on and lead by example whilst bringing an attitude of accountability and enthusiasm.

Responsibilities :

  • Financial Accounting - ensuring delivery of monthly general ledger close, lodgement of BAS, FBT and Income Tax along with performing all Financial Control responsibilities (cash flow management, bank facility arrangements, financial statements and audit liaison)
  • Project management and change processes including enhancing systems interfaces for AP with internal stakeholders; training for Payroll and Expense management and GL transformation
  • Payroll and safeguarding that fortnightly payments are accurate, timely and follow stringent control practises. Accountability for lodgement of all statutory requirements with the various regulatory authorities (PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax)
  • Accounts Payable and diligence with making payments within the required due dates. Compliance with the corporate policies and alignment to the supplier on boarding processes with required checks being performed
  • Accounts Receivable and executing any debtor collection processes, issuing of invoices in a timely manner and management of the debtor ledger
  • Support the Financial Controller & CFO
  • Requirements :

  • Statutory / financial accounting & controls experience within financial services - home loans / retail banking highly relevant
  • Experience in a similar Senior position and leading a team
  • Strong attention to detail with an ability to multi-task
  • Communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive and enthusiastic attitude with a focus on process enhancement
  • CA / CPA Qualified
