Enjoying the country hospitality of rural South Australia, you will provide direct person centred nursing / midwifery care and individual case management to patients on a shift by shift basis in a defined clinical area with increasing autonomy over time.
A diverse role with an interesting caseload, you will assess individual patient needs, plan, implement and / or coordinate appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options including other disciplines or agencies.
You will plan and coordinate services with other disciplines or agencies in providing individual health care needs, as well as contribute to patient safety, risk minimisation and safe work activities within the practice setting.
In addition, you will contribute to procedures for effectively dealing with people living with Dementia.
Registered as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, you will hold a current practising certificate. As a strong team player who enjoys working collaboratively and utilising your strengths, you will bring excellent communication skills, able to liaise effectively with a broad range of people.
With the ability to operate with professional independence, you will have demonstrated clinical competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
Your well developed organisation skills will enable you to work effectively under limited direction, and you will possess sound knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, industrial agreements, standards, codes, ethics and competency standards.
