Strategic Commercial Property Consultant
With oversight of News Corp Australia’s national property portfolio, this role comes at a critical time in our business where our property strategy and its execution is centrestage.
You will need to be able to work cross functionally to identify the best operational and commercial outcomes as we transition our footprint and embrace the next phase in the News Corp evolution.
Join us on a 12-24 month contract where you will drive the strategy and deliverables for our multi-site national property portfolio.
What’s the role?
Support the successful execution of our property portfolio strategies and targets within timescales and budget
Identify opportunities within our property portfolio, analysing these against the national market; recommend actions and where appropriate implement those recommendations
Identify risks affecting the delivery of strategic outcomes and where necessary deploy contingencies to ensure completion of initiatives
Develop and maintain strategic working relationships with a vast range of stakeholders to maximise our property function’s output
Partner with and manage third party consultants to ensure optimal outcomes for News Corp Australia
Understand workplace design and the planning process, taking accountability for ensuring all legal requirements are adhered to
Due diligence for large scale projects
Provide input into the Global Property review process
Who are you?
10+ years of experience in the commercial property market at a senior management level
Prior experience managing a national, multi-site property portfolio
Have a commercial understanding and knowledge of the national market, including commercial real estate valuation
Demonstrated ability to deliver key portfolio objectives within specified timeframes
Ability to establish and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to facilitate partnerships and cooperation
Ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation
High level of resilience, and able to manage and mitigate resistance
Tertiary qualification in Law, Commerce, Property Economics or other related discipline
Ability to regularly travel interstate
