The Role

This high profile Executive role manages a Defence Base within South Australia comprising multiple sites. You will deliver high quality products and services including the implementation of safety, risk, emergency and security management plans which enable effective base operations.

You will be required to identify base support performance concerns, implement mitigation strategies and review and translate base support agreements to ensure currency and consistency with service delivery models.

Leadership and stakeholder engagement are key responsibilities of this role. Regarding leadership, you will motivate and mentor your team, set achievable goals and best assign tasks which complement their talents.

You will set a strong performance management culture and manage performance and behaviour when these are outside of the expectation.

In respect of stakeholder engagement, you will collaborate and consult extensively to provide solutions to complex operational issues while understanding service standards and meeting outcomes within agreed timeframes.

About our Team

The team is primarily located in Adelaide but responsible for sites across South Australia. As the Team Leader you will champion the vision to be a flexible, agile, high performing and cohesive team of highly motivated individuals.

Your team is responsible for assisting with Defence capability through the effective provision of base management support.

They will deliver customer focused outcomes through effective, integrated partnerships with senior members of the Australian Defence Organisation, customers, contract partners and other stakeholders.

The team works in a multifaceted, high tempo environment that brings rewarding challenges and a great sense of purpose.
