KAEFER Integrated Services are seeking an experienced Projects Accountant to join our busy South Australian operations team and will be based in Adelaide.
The position responsibilities include :
Assist with the day to day accounting function.
Produces payroll by initiating processing and verifying finished product.
Review payroll data and complete reconciliation against billing in line with relevant project.
Manage the establishment and maintenance of cost coding system in accordance with the Cost Categories established for the project.
Liaise with project team to manage cost tracking and purchase commitments ensuring they are in accordance with the established Cost Categories.
Monitor and report the physical progress (work performed) consistent with the cost coding system.
Complete billing in line with the project requirements
Prepare weekly project cost report including forecast and actual data with deviation analysis.
Issue weekly project cost report to the Project Manager(s) detailing real or potential cost impacts.
Tracking, review and follow up of outstanding issues on projects with cost impacts
Visits to operational sites to assist / audit process and system development in line with business goals and monitor project cost control
Assist in the month end ledger reporting and reconciliation and discussions with Project Manager(s)
Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
To be considered for this role :
An eye for detail and accuracy with numbers.
Proficient in the use of the Office 365 Suite especially Microsoft Excel
Proficient in the use of SAP & SAP Ariba.
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance is preferred
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in accounting / finance in general construction
Experience in working with multiple legal entities
Experience with financial reporting requirements
Strong verbal and written English language skills for professional reports and written correspondence, particularly with Contractual / Commercial terminology.
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Able to work under pressure, multi-task, together with the capacity to plan and prioritise workloads in order to meet deadlines;
