The Data Solutions Group provides innovative data, analytic and reporting solutions across the enterprise which will differentiate ORIX as a data-driven world class Asset Management firm.
Our goal is to harness data as a critical asset to achieve superior financial results and to drive operational efficiencies across our core businesses.
We are currently leading a multi-year data transformation strategy consisting of a next generation data platform in Microsoft Azure, and a comprehensive firm-wide data management program.
We are seeking a passionate, talented and highly motivated Data Management Technical Analyst to join our team and help modernize our approach to data management and lay the groundwork for advanced analytics and data science.
Data Management Technical Analyst will work with Operations, Finance, Business and Technology professionals at all levels to analyze current data flows in detail, understand the data needs of our business, uncover issues with data across multiple complex systems, and help implement new platforms, tools and processes to better manage the information life-cycle.
You should have a strong background in technical business analysis, an expertise in data and data management, be extremely detail oriented and well organized, and be willing to roll up your sleeves and dig deep into complex problems to understand current state and to implement a target solution.
You must also be strong team player and collaborator.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinate on those requirements throughout the projectParticipate in integration, application, system, and process design end to end to craft data pipelines with uniformity across different businesses and cross-functional unitsWork closely with IT business analysts and end users (Data Owners) to establish data management processes and drive data stewardship & ownershipDocument data platform development, revisions, and requirements
enable and train new data stewardsGrow, mature, and enforce modern data documentation standardsPartners with business leaders to establish data management definitions, KPI, and analytics that answer a business questionDevelop, update, and maintain Data Catalogs designed for business transparencyConduct data quality testingData Catalog product support

This position has frequent contact with all levels of employees and management. In addition, this role may interact with outside business partners, vendors, consultants, and other office visitors.
